Dr. Lentz is the founder and owner of Lentz Pediatrics and has dedicated his career to caring for children and families throughout West Tennessee. A Jackson native, he graduated from North Side High School in 1988. After completing his medical education and pediatric residency training, he returned home to Jackson in 1999 with a vision of providing exceptional pediatric care to the community that helped shape him.
Dr. Lentz earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University before attending the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his pediatric residency training at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from 1996 to 1999.
Dr. Lentz has been caring for children in Jackson and the surrounding communities since 1999. In 2008, he opened his own practice in Lexington and expanded to Jackson in 2009. Over the years, he has built Lentz Pediatrics into a trusted medical home for generations of families, pouring his heart, dedication, and passion into the practice and the patients he serves.
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Lentz enjoys collecting antique playing marbles and World War II memorabilia. His appreciation for history and preservation reflects the same attention to detail and commitment that he brings to pediatric medicine every day.
Dr. Lentz remains committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while building lasting relationships with the families who entrust him with their children’s health.
